Sal-Ammoniac Tinning Block is used for cleaning and re-tinning bare copper soldering iron tips, as well as heavily oxidized plated iron tips. Rub the hot iron tip on the block and then re-coat with fresh solder. This item is a 1/2 lb. (8 oz) flat solid bock of Sal-Ammoniac.
