Product Description:

Alpha's lead free, near-eutectic low temperature spools enables peak reflow profiles between 155°C and 190°C and is particularly useful in reducing energy consumption and minimizing rework in electronic assembly processes. All components used with SnBi solders must be lead-free to eliminate the formation of tin/lead/bismuth intermetallics, which have a melting point under 100°C. Although 42Sn/57.6Bi/0.4Ag forms strong joints and is more ductile due to the added 0.4% Silver, in wire form it is brittle and needs to be handled gently when unspooling. It is normal for spooled 42Sn/57.6Bi/0.4Ag wire to have some breaks in it.
